DR. LAURA STINTON

MSc, MD, FRCP(C)

Dr. Laura Stinton is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Calgary and a member of the University of Calgary Liver Unit. Dr. Stinton completed her medical degree, Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Calgary, where she also obtained an MSc in Medical Sciences. She then trained in Advanced Hepatology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Stinton practices out of the Rockyview Hospital where she specializes in both general gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Stinton is dually certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) and the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Dr. Stinton’s research interests include autoimmune diseases. She has completed advanced research training and is well published in scientific journals and has presented at international conferences. She has received many awards including the 2013 American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Clinical Research Award and the 2010 Canadian Medical Association (CMA) Award for Young Leaders.
